The Dramaquarium
Actability are currently creating a new sensory experience for profoundly disabled young people at Watling View School in St Albans. This work follows up the work we did with Oily Cart Theatre Company who were the original instigators of working with young disabled people using swimming pools.
Having spent a number of weeks working with children and staff we are moving towards the performance stage of this absorbing project. Each of the children will participate in an hour long event specially designed with their needs and stories in mind. Puppets and lights combined with live music will create a unique atmosphere in which parents, friends and staff can share in each childs performance.
These pieces have been brought to life by Stan Forczek,Hannah Johnson and Paul Bamlett with assistance and advice from the dedicated staff at Watling View.
Actability are currently planning to take this amazing new experience to other special schools.
